Maratua is a large tropical island in the furthest area of Indonesia. This is an island of sandy white beaches, a massive lagoon, coral reefs and mangrove forests with the third highest level of marine biodiversity in the world. It is also home to one of the world's only saltwater lake as well as one of the largest green sea turtle nesting sites.
